The EU Commission report assessed how far countries aspiring to join the 28-nation bloc have come in bringing their laws and behavior in line with European standards. In an interview with Voice of Russia, Dr Michael Geary, an expert from Netherlands, said that “it is the right step that the EU commissions is putting enlargement back on the agenda of the European Council” and believes we will see Turkey joining the Union very soon.
