What Countries Taxes Are Paying For This Extortion?
Some 10,000 needy Holocaust survivors are supposed to receive by the
end of this week a one-time grant of NIS 6,000 from the government
company in charge of locating and restoring property in Israel
belonging to the heirs of Holocaust victims.
The grant will go directly into survivors' bank accounts, with no need to apply for the aid. Beneficiaries were chosen based on data from the Finance Ministry's disabled rehabilitation bureau, and the Center of Organizations of Holocaust Survivors.
A letter was recently sent to survivors explaining the grant. Those who do not receive it but believe they are eligible for the grant can contact the company by June 1 to verify their status.
The government established the company in 2006 to handle bank accounts,
shares, real estate and art works that belonged to Jews killed in the
Holocaust and now held by public and private entities in Israel.
