The discovery an anti-Semitic and white supremacist newsletter in Reading has caused worry for some, but police assure residents that it was only one copy.

Last Thursday, Reading Police Sgt. Pat O’Brien reported that a copy of The White Patriot Leader, a white supremacy newsletter was found on a curb by a Reading resident, who then reported its discovery to the police.

The Police then forwarded it to the state attorney general’s office, where it is currently under investigation.

O’Brien said there does not appear to be any laws violated, because of free speech. He said no one person or household was targeted by the paper.

O’Brien said there is no evidence that a specific person, household, or part of town was intended to receive the newsletter. Instead, it was just found on the street.

"There was just one copy," O’Brien said. "Someone could have thrown it out the window while driving." Although the newsletter contained anti-Semitic messages and mentions of white supremacy, it is still allowed under free speech.

"Even though no one likes this kind of free speech," O’Brien said.

Also notified was the Reading Human Relations Advisory Committee, which quickly held a meeting about the matter. "We’ve never had anything like this in town before," said committee member Margaret Soli.

She thanked the anonymous resident for calling the police and informing them about discovering the paper. "We wouldn’t have known about this if someone didn’t have the courage to speak up," she said.

Soli said the paper included mention of a "race war" and it contained a phone number to call to start a militia group. "It was totally obnoxious and disgusting," she said. The six-member committee, which includes Police Chief James Cormier, drafted a letter addressed to Reading residents, stating, "Hatred and discrimination are not Reading values."

The letter quotes from the Declaration of Independence, and then adds, "Decent, hard-working individuals of whatever race, religion, or national origin should be made welcome in our community."

The newsletter, called "The White Patriot Leader," is published by white supremacist Glenn Miller. A resident of Springfield, Mo., Miller has served time for running a racist paramilitary group. Miller, a white supremacist and retired US Army Veteran, founded the White People’s Party in 1980, and he has been affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan. He has been under investigation by the FBI.

They didn't say if the men who carrier this document of Concentrated Pure Evil to the Attorney General had to wear Hazmat suits. We do know that the person who turned it over to the authorities has been placed in quarantine for fear that they were infected by the Anti-Semitic Hate they read. The town has been awarded $10 million dollars by Homeland Security to protect the homes of local jews, as well as the pawn shops, adult bookstores and liquor stores that they own.

When i read this part:

I thought to myself "yea, but for how long?". Thats why we need to put it out now, before they start drafting up jewish laws to put us in jail for it.

I'm kinda slow rolling them, because I want them to look perfect (lol!). Seriously, I can roll around 250 an hour give or take a few. Sometimes, my daughter helps me roll them. Ron Doggett is the fastest paper roller that I've ever seen. The man is like a machine.

One paper filled with FACTS caused that much discomfort.

I distributed 500 WPLs in Knoxville, TN yesterday (6 July) - slowly, methodically, and proficiently. Perfect day. I didn't "hit" Paducah, KY the previous day due to threat of rain. Returned home at 3 PM today.

Money in my PO box today, as follows:

Babycakes - $100.00 donation and in payment of 300 WPLs previously sent.

Robe n' Hood - $50.00 donation to WPL Fund.

Also in my PO box today (yaw'll ain't gonna believe this) was 22 cards from the UNITY IN THE COMMUNITY, PO Box 4292, Manassas, Virginia 20108, which says:

"Prince William County, and the Cities of Manassas, Manassas Park are Hate-Free Zones, from the grassroots level to official policy. The sender of this card wants you ti know that your hateful literature is not welcome and is considered the worst form of litter in our communities."

Each card contained a 39 cent stamp and a first name signature. Several contained personal messages, ie., "Jesus loves you", "Your hate literature is inappropriate and not appreciated", "Focus on doing good rather than working on hate and negative efforts," and (get this one): "I am white and have a broken wrist and I feel strongly enough to endure the pain to send you this, you racist cowards. Don't pass out your hate propaganda. We won't stand for it" (signed Debbie). (One card had the business card of the police department affixed - Prince William County Police Department - Major Ray Colgan, Asst Chief - tel: 703-792-7247).

I'll send um a letter-to-editor, after I brouse around and find out what state they're in, and the actual name of the newspaper. Massachusetts, I think.

The article is blatantly an insult to everybody's intelligence except soccermoms' and sub-sahara koons.

The Culpeper distro hit about every White section of the town of 11,000 and many of the surronding areas of the county so I'm not surprised it awakened the White folk of the area.
SA Mann is out today hitting many other areas of the state so you should get some feed back from that soon as well.
Glad to see you had a good trip and hit another area with this excellent addition of the WPL.
A big salute to all those helping in this effort here on VNN, sure beats just bitching about the problems, man than gets old.

Yes, we had fun stirring up the stinking multi-culti pot in Culpeper this past weekend. It is sad but true that so few of us are distributing nowadays. I guess that is the way it it has always been and always will be-the few do the work that the many should be doing. Admittedly, it can be a bit disheartening and discouraging that so few of our people are active, but I do not let that affect my activism. I am ready for the second round of TWPL. Bring it on!!!
