All Arkansans on this board, perhaps you saw the story tonight on KATV evening news.

Criticism is mounting over comments an Arkansas State Senator made in e-mail. And now one group is calling for state Senator Denny Altes to be removed from office.
Both Democratic and Republican parties of Arkansas are condemning the e-mail and Senator Denny Altes has apologized if he hurt anyone’s feelings but says the comments were not racist.
In an e-mail dated November 14, Senator Altes of Fort Smith writes: "I am for sending the illegals back but we know that is impossible. We are where we were with the black folks after the revolutionary war. We can’t send them back and the more we **** them off the worse it will be in the future."
In the e-mail sent to the former mayor of Fort Smith, Bill Vines, Altes went on to write, "…sure we are being overrun but we are being out populated by the blacks, also."
The League of United Latin American Citizens or LULAC urges its members to demand Altes be removed from office immediately.
Altes spoke the truth... in private... and deserves to be treated better than what he'll get.
I'm asking Arkansans here to show stick it to the hispanics and show support for Senator Altes in the following ways:
1. Make a comment at the KATV website on the link listed above. You have to register to make a comment, but it takes just a few minutes. Be aware that overtly racists comments will be deleted by the webmaster, and they have been known to shut down comments for a particular story if things get too hot... so keep it to the point: support for Altes.
2. Send a letter to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette here: http://www2.arkansasonline.com/contact/voicesform/
Meridith Oakley and her clerk Valerie are pretty good about publishing every letter they get provided it doesn't cross the line into obscene or theatening... so take advantage of it. Be aware they do call you and verify you actually sent the email, so don't try any tricks there.
3. Contact Governor Beebee's office at 1-501-682-2345 or by email here: http://governor.arkansas.gov/contact/index.php
4. Contact your district Senator by going to here and finding his/her page: http://www.arkansas.gov/senate/
5. Lastly, but just as important, contact Senator Altes here and let him know you back him to the hilt: aaltes@aol.com
Even if you're not an Arkansan, you can still follow many of these steps and help the man out. He told the truth, and now the lubricanos are wanting to crucify him for it. Here's a chance to make a difference and give voice to what Whites in general in Arkansas already think. Thanks for any help you give.
