The first video report I saw concerning this case stated the women in the picture was the woman who was dragged. Later on the police denied that, while stating they still had witnesses to interview. On another report, a few minutes ago, the police claimed the man in the picture was the one they arrested. And in still yet another report, they denied even that.

I believe the man in the picture is the “illegal alien” arrested for the crime. As far as the women, that was confirmed by the media and then denied by the police, who are yet interviewing witnesses and conducting their investigation. As far as hair color, at this point it doesn’t matter, the autopsy report stated the woman, who ever she was, had dyed hair. And of course, almost any race can have “hazel” eyes and even if she had green eyes, some lighter skinned Mexicans can and do have green eyes.

Was I “purposely misleading” the board? I’m not going to answer that. But I will say, I passed along information that was taken from a video news report. I didn’t keep the link to that particular report because it was being reported that a Mexican woman was the victim. I don’t normally do reports concerning Mexican victims. In retrospect, with it being such a viscous crime, I should have put any links pertaining to the case in my “open cases” file.

It looks like all we can do is wait for the police to finish their investigation and maybe then we will learn all the facts. At this point, it hasn’t been proven that I posted “incorrect” and “misleading” information and until it pans out otherwise, I’m not hitting any buttons except the one to post this.

[color="Black"]Dragging death victim identified

A woman dragged to her death behind a vehicle was identified Thursday as a mother of three from the [color="Red"]Mexican state of Guerrero, the Mexican consul general said.

[color="red"]Luz Maria Franco-Fierros, 49, was identified through fingerprints, Consul General Juan Marcos Gutierrez Gonzalez said. It was not known whether she was the woman pictured in a photograph discovered near the crime scene.

[color="red"]Franco-Fierros' battered, disfigured body was discovered early Monday along a road about 20 miles south of Denver. Investigators say she had been dragged behind a vehicle for more than a mile.

[color="red"]Jose Luis Rubi-Nava, 36, was being held without bail on a charge of first-degree murder. Friends told the Rocky Mountain News that the woman lived with Rubi-Nava, even though he had a wife and children in Mexico.

Police ID Woman Dragged To Death Near Denver
