Authorities said Wednesday they believe someone set a fire at a mobile home near Sherman in an attempt to destroy evidence in the slayings of a man and two sisters, one of whom was pregnant and visiting from Fredericksburg.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office said Brian Lee Ritchie, 30, died of multiple gunshot wounds and blunt and sharp force injuries.
Ritchie’s girlfriend, Misty Yvonne Ballou, 25, died from multiple gunshot wounds. Her pregnant sister *Cassandra Dawn Ballou of Fredericksburg, 28, died of a gunshot wound and a stab wound.
Grayson County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rickey Wheeler said there have been no arrests, but that it appeared one or all three of the victims were targeted.
He said the bodies were found Monday morning after people passing by noticed the mobile home was on fire and summoned help.
