Wiesenthal Center demands Nazi's trial
The Simon Wiesenthal Center called on Germany Friday to prosecute former Danish Nazi Soren Kam for the killing of a journalist exactly 70 years ago.
The 91-year-old Kam is accused of shooting anti-Nazi journalist Carl Henrik Clemmensen near Copenhagen on August 30, 1943.
"The fact that a totally unrepentant Nazi murderer continues to enjoy the protection of the Bavarian justice system makes a mockery of the principle of justice," Efraim Zuroff, director of the center's Israel office, wrote in an appeal.
