I just found out that Willis Carto has died. The Spotlight is a fond personal memory of mine. I started reading it while in High School and it really woke me up to what was going on. Through his publications Mr. Carto was a true comrade and will be missed. The following text is from the Sharkhunters email list:

ON ETERNAL PATROL - Another combat veteran of World War Two has received his 'Final Orders' on Monday 26 October 2015. US Army combat veteran WILLIS CARTO, Member #1059 served honorably in the United States Army and a Japanese sniper sent him home early from the Pacific. Fortunately this sniper was not a really good shot and WILLIS was wounded but not killed. He was awarded the Purple Heart and brought home from combat. He founded the Liberty Lobby and published the Spotlight until......well, that is yet another story. He moved from California to the Washington DC area and published The Barnes Review magazine and The American Free Press newspaper. WILLIS and Sharkhunters President HARRY COOPER, Member #1-LIFE remained good friends from the time WILLIS joined Sharkhunters in 1989 - they would get together at the A1A Ale House in St. Augustine for burgers; WILLIS was down to visit us many times when were based in Tampa and HARRY was in DC for some events that WILLIS organized. The SPLC Spitlickers hated him, which makes him a great American. US Army combat veteran, proud American, free thinker and a strong Member of Sharkhunters.......rest in peace WILLIS.
