A former University of Alabama football player continues his recovery in a Dothan hospital following a deadly car crash.

Siran Stacy is listed in stable condition in an intensive care unit.

He was critically injured late Monday night when a pick-up truck traveling the wrong way on a 4-lane highway hit Stacy’s van, killing his wife, Ellen, and four of his five children.

3-year-old Shelly Stacy is recovering in a Birmingham hospital.

Funeral arrangements for the other victims are being finalized.

The driver of the truck, 29-year-old Adam Wayman, was also killed.

State troopers say forensics tests are being conducted to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Stacey is employed at a Panama City bank.
