Yulia Tymoshenko would win presidential elections

If the presidential elections were held this Sunday in one round, current Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko would claim victory with 23.7% of the vote.
This according to results of a public opinion poll released by General Director of FOM-Ukraine Oleksandr Bukhalov during a press conference on Thursday, July 31.
In second place would be leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych with 20.5%
Next in line would be: current President Viktor Yushchenko – 7.3%; leader of the Communist Party Petro Symonenko – 4.8%, leader of the eponymous bloc Volodymyr Lytvyn – 3.4%. More than 30% of those polled would vote “against all”.
If the elections were held in two rounds, in the race between Tymoshenko and Yanukovych, Tymoshenko would win 34% of votes and the head of the opposition 31%.
If Viktor Yushchenko and Viktor Yanukovych made it to the second round, the current President would gain 18% and the head of the opposition 32%. However, if the second round was a face-off between Yushchenko and Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister would win by 23% more votes than the current President.
The poll was conducted on July 12-25, 2008 of 2000 respondents from 160 communities in Ukraine. Sample error does not exceed 2.2%
