PNOS standing in council elections in Langenthal!
A PNOS activist will be standing in the town council elections on the 24th. October in Langenthal. Tobias Hirschi is 20-years-old and a qualified road constructer. As a man of his trade he is not one for beating about the bush or insincerity but prefers straight talk and politics closely linked with his native soil. Tobias Hirschi is well known in the party for his reliability and as upstanding comrade who tirelessly stands up for the Swiss cause.
With his candidature in his home community he particularly wants to give the Swiss youth the right to be heard because in their spare time and in particularly in the school and in their occupations they are being confronted with the increasingly unacceptable problems which multi-cultural society brings. He wants to do what he can to see that Langenthal once again is the healthy, Swiss town it was of old.

Local Elections in Oberkulm – over 18% for PNOS
On Sunday 8th. February for the first time ever Pascal Vogel (21), a member of PNOS, took part in local elections. In Oberkulm the young politician stood against the SVP candidate Jakob Fäs and obtained the sensational result of over 18%! (Jakob Fäs 416, Pascal Vogel 100, Others 17 votes).
The PNOS therefore can certainly envisage with an older and more experienced candidate standing a good chance of success in future local government elections. The normal citizen appears not to have lost his impartiality and has no misgivings about voting for a candidate whose political program in down to earth and makes good sense - even if the media shouts and screams “fascist” and “racist” at every chance.

PNOS and the National Council Elections 2003 – Success of failure?
In October 2003 for the first time ever since its founding in 2001 the Party of National Orientated Swiss (PNOS) took part in elections. Not only that but for its premier to choose the main parliamentary elections to the National Council was a top-level goal. Collecting the necessary signatures to be able to stand a candidate presented the party with a bit of an effort. However, the party activists managed the task without difficulty so that participation in the election went ahead without any problems. The party chairman Jonas Gysin and the delegates thank everyone who helped with this.
The results for the Canton of Aargau where PNOS only fielded one candidate Ralph Aschwanden, are as follows: PNOS received 2,867 votes which represents 0.13%. This makes PNOS the weakest party in the canton. In spite of this PNOS sees the result as a full success. Why?
Ralph Aschwanden obtained more than 1000 votes more than was expected and in some municipalities PNOS did better that well-known parties like the Socialists or the Liberals. Without sending any party leaflets the election was contested with only a budget of CHF 300.- which will make many green with envy. And for the very reason that we did not spend heavily on the campaign we have the certainty that voters have of their own free wills taken interest in us and our politics. Our information had to be fetched instead of having it delivered. And thus we also now know that these 2867 votes support our critic of liberal democracy, of multi-culture, of environmental destruction and the advancing decadence in Switzerland.
But the main reason is a different one; even when the signature collection was easier than expected PNOS was never had exaggerated expectations. We were not counting on an election victory (as stated in a press statement on 5.8.2003) and it was not our intention to send our candidate to Berne.
In the past PNOS was treated with silence by the media or subjected to the dirtiest smears. Thhis time PNOS used the national elections skilfully as a stage for our ideas and forced the system parties to report objectively over the confederate-socialist opposition enabling us to bring the contents our party programme into the media. The number of members and the degree to which our party is known climbed in these months rapidly to new heights so that PNOS emerges strengthened from the elections.
