Social Nationalism - Lazar Prokić
Social nationalism is a new understanding of the world through a new understanding of the people in the state. It came first as an inevitable reaction to the individualistic understanding of democracy and liberalism as its economic basis. Then it was built into a special system, a special doctrine, with a special view of man, citizen, society, state and the exchange of productive goods.
So, modern nationalism is actually a synthesis of the national and social that are included in each other! Therefore, it is antithetical to democracy. It follows that it is against individualism, against economic liberalism, against Marxism.
It is against individualism insofar as it does not view the individual "in se" but, on the contrary, views him as a product of a people whose special racial and ethnic psyche and historical process enabled the development of the same individual. Therefore, the framework in which an individual is born, formed and works is the nation-state, a whole spiritual and historical environment, which is exceptional! So the freedom of the individual cannot be viewed otherwise, but only as a function of such a specific framework.
Consequently, neither the material nor the spiritual products of individuals or their organizations can be the absolute property of the same. Their production, circulation, distribution and consumption have a reason only if they concern individuals as a means, and not as an ultimate goal. They are understood as means, a thought instrument of the people, the state! That is why the state controls, supervises, determines, regulates and prohibits...
National Socialism is opposed to Marxism in any form: classical socialism, communism, social democracy or Bolshevism. Marxism could only arise from a democratic conception of the world. If man is the ultimate goal of everything, and people are the same everywhere - the state is not needed; its history is just a coincidence that may not exist. Hence internationalism, which does not recognize any spiritual values: neither the human being, nor the social, national collective. Understood in this way, Marxism is against history because it stops it - all human activity stops on its stomach. It is man - an automaton. And social nationalism seeks man in the state, for the sake of the state and with the state. Therefore, it is a movement, action, creativity, progress. By emphasizing the cult of the state, the citizen becomes more life-giving because he creates this cult. It is a mutual complementarity: the stronger the individual creates the state, the greater his security.
Ignorant and opponents accuse social nationalism of the fact that by constantly raising the cult of the state, it inevitably leads to imperialism, and therefore to international conflicts. The same can be said of democracy. Democracy led to wars because it was not a perfect universal conception of the world, but rather a universal political system. Social nationalism, on the contrary, has no pretensions to becoming a universal political system, but is already becoming a general conception of the world: taking into account primarily the permanent elements of each nation individually (national feeling, history, tradition, spiritual values). Accordingly, social nationalism is not a temporary experiment, but a historical necessity: a synthesis of the experience of the past and a prediction of the future of each nation individually. As such, it cannot be a copy, but an expression of the political circumstances of a particular environment. So, it can be universal only as a doctrine, and not as a political system. And these are two completely different concepts that are naively or maliciously confused everywhere, including here. Therefore, our future political system, according to the conception of social nationalism, cannot be anything other than an exclusively expression of our own circumstances. This truth has become so clear and understandable, and yet many of us, with or without legitimization, have not yet accepted it.
But without that, we have not yet opted for Europe.
