Nice piece by K-Mac. I was intrigued by another part of the NYT article: “I’ve even seen people in the same business, direct competitors, raise money to put the man back on his feet.” Evidence of great altruism, as the article suggests? Or maybe they’re actually competitors in name only, fellow members of the traditional kahal whose collusion should be investigated by the antitrust authorites.
