A friend of mine with extensive litvish yeshiva background recently brought to my attention that my conversion was not halachically valid. This shocking news has now, for the first time, made me come to grips with the fact that I am, indeed, a gentile. This realization has, of course, immediately altered my world view and belief system. First of all, I would like to make several apologies to the Jewish community at large. First off, I am profusely sorry for every Shabbat that I kept in accordance with halacha, as this was a direct violation of talmudic law. I am also sorry for every minyan that I fraudently completed by being the tenth man. It hurts me deeply to know about all those holy Jew prayers that never travelled to Heaven because of my unintentional deceit. Also, there are many Jewish girls out there who vowed never to sleep with a shkutz. I am sort of sorry to them too (but you guys gotta admit, Jewish girls are good fucked up fun in the bed). If there are other things that I should apologize for but have neglected, please bring them to my attention.

Additionally, this realization, has led me to something of a spiritual crossroads. I have seen too much of your dysfunction and self hatred to consider converting legitimately to the religion of my youth, but where to go? Islam? Christianity? Atheism? Buddhism? There are so many choices. I suppose I should start by accepting Christ as my Saviour, and remaining straight, so that I have a reserved spot in eternity with Pat Robertson, but maybe a trip to Mecca would be more in order, considering my obviously pro-Palestinian leanings (which, by the way, i’m very concerned about, considering that I’m no longer Jewish. I might be an anti-semite! Shit!)

This is all so perplexing. My neo-Sabbatean side is trying to tell me that all my Mitzvah’s are now that much holier, since I will get no Schar for them, but my newly gentile side kind of doesn’t care and just wants to go to Ikea. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, please do not judge my newly sub-human status, and help me.
