Land of the Jews

(After being offline for a month and a half, VNN is back online. We’re sorry for the long absence, it was unplanned).

You’ve heard America called “the land of the free and the home of the brave”? (That comes from the national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner”). Well, at VNN Forum, some guy has a different take on those lyrics. Under his avatar, it says: “land of the Friedman, home of the Braverman.” Catchy!

The Star Spangled Banner is actually an old English tavern song. I think it’s a terrible, un-singable song and should not be the national anthem. Perhaps this song is more suitable?

Welcome back – Socrates does a great job on this blog, but maybe Alex should give other people ability to log in and post articles, news stories, like NB Forest, Arch Stanton and Max Hadden to name but three. We need to shake this blog up, put it in fourth gear and get it moving !

OK, no more 70’s yacht rock. Seriously, here are two really beautiful national anthems. We will need anthems like these after the White Power Revolution to inspire us. The Star Spangled Banner stinks.

BTW, the DDR’s anthem was from NSDAP times, it’s not a Marxist anthem. I think it was originally called Song for the New Germany.
